Couch Guitar Straps

Lifestyle, Upcycled

If you’ve got a guitar, you need a strap. Maybe you have one of those sweet upcycled skateboard guitars. Then your strap needs to be just as cool.

Couch Guitar Straps go to automotive warehouses and buy up vinyl and seatbelt deadstock. Deadstock is stuff that has been made but never used and is now destined for landfill. Some of the materials Couch get their hands on is from cars that are up to 50 years old. This is not your generic black polyester strap. You’ll see these being rocked by the likes of River Cuomo of Weezer, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, and Nels Cline of Wilco, to name just a few.

The straps are handmade in Los Angeles, USA by the Couch team. 100% cruelty free and strictly no sweatshops involved. Couch have been doing this Bonus, they’re vegan friendly because car makers in the 80’s loved some vinyl. They have a pretty massive range, so you’ll find something to match your gear and your personality. I’m thinking Army Green Seatbelt for my Tele, the Maroon Extra Wide for my bass, and maybe something in a Hippy Weave for my acoustic. So many options.
